Virtual Dedicated Graphics Acceleration (vDGA)

Virtual Dedicated Graphics Acceleration (vDGA) is a graphics-acceleration function that bypasses the ESXi hypervisor to tie a dedicated GPU in the ESXi host directly to a Horizon View virtual desktop to provide near-native performance.

Virtual Dedicated Graphics Acceleration (vDGA) is a feature that allows a VMware Horizon View virtual desktop provide near-native performance for high-end 3-D graphics. 

vDGA allows a virtual desktop to access a high performance graphics card installed on the vSphere host. The vDGA feature, first implemented in Horizon View 5.3, is based on VMware DirectPath I/O and Nvidia GRID technologies.
