VMware extends vSphere Enterprise licensing, but it's a catch-22

In the past, the licensing structure for VMware products and services has been a contentious issue. VMware's attempts to steer customers toward more costly licensing packages have been wrought with confusion and inconsistency. While the virtualization vendor has made great strides with licensing, there is still room for improvement.
