There is a minor bug in the UDA 1.4 ESX kickstart configurator. If you select the host edition format of “ESX Full”,...
By submitting your personal information, you agree that TechTarget and its partners may contact you regarding relevant content, products and special offers.
it does create an entry in the kickstart file like so:
vmlicense –mode=server –firstname.lastname@example.org –edition=esxfull –features=backup,vsmp
Unfortunately, –edition is case-sensitive, and esxfull should read esxFull.
Workaround: Manually correct case until a new default template is created for ESX which fixes this issue.
