Test your VMware NSX-T, NSX-V knowledge

VMware's software, NSX, enables admins to stand up networking in a software-defined data center. Take this quiz to ensure you're getting the most out of NSX.

NSX is VMware's virtual networking and security software product. It makes up the networking portion of VMware's software-defined data center, wherein VMware offers virtualized components to all infrastructure elements, including storage, CPU, security and networking.

With NSX, VMware helps IT administrators provision virtual networking environments without a command-line interface or other direct administrator intervention. It abstracts network operations from the underlying hardware and onto a distributed virtualization layer. NSX also exposes logical firewalls, switches, routers and ports to enable vendor-agnostic virtual networking that works among various hypervisors, clouds and network hardware systems. Admins use it most frequently to provide microsegmentation, automation and disaster recovery.

NSX supports external networking and security ecosystem services. Its important features include switching, routing, distributed firewalling, load balancing, VPN capabilities, an API, operations, dynamic security, cloud management and log management.

Test your knowledge of VMware NSX-T and NSX-V to ensure you're getting the most out of your virtual network.
